We’ve chosen the featured image taken of the annual Fireworks display held at the Rose Bowl. It’s very fitting that we use this to accentuate the Major League Soccer (MLS) match that will create its own version of on-the-pitch Fireworks when our two Los Angeles-based MLS teams, the L.A. Galaxy and the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) inevitably collide in the newest “Battle For Los Angeles” once again.

LAFC, the Black & Gold, comes into this match with an MLS record of (9-5-5 = 32 points) for 2nd place in the Western Conference standings, while the L.A. Galaxy, arrive with their record of (3-9-7=16 points) and a 13th place standing. But, as everyone should know about rivalry matches, you have to basically throw out the Club records and go strictly to the match on the schedule to determine who takes the “bragging rights” on this given day.
In speaking highly about our City’s special rivalry match and the overwhelming support that each team has, the contest is a complete “sell-out” so do make your viewing party plans safe ones while we all enjoy what will be a great match between these two rivals. Attendance has been predicted to surpass the 80,000 mark, establishing the highest attendance ever recorded at an MLS match.
