Game Background]: The 2013 “Battle For the Victory Bell” and crucial Northern League match-up provided the theme for this very intense and annual rivalry between the Wilson “Mighty Mules” and the Franklin “Panthers.” With every league game carrying tremendous consequences for the League’s front-runners, Wilson’s Coach Eddie Martinez is also looking to re-capture possession of the “Bell” with his first victory over Franklin since 2007. In a bounce-back game from last week’s loss to the Lincoln “Tigers,” which unfortunately snapped the Mighty Mules’ six-game winning streak, Coach Martinez is looking to his veteran group of seniors to lead the way to victory. In addition to the rivalry, this will mark the home team’s “Senior Recognition Night,” with a special post-game ceremony to highlight the occasion. Do make plans to watch this lively encounter between two long-time rivals in the CIF’s L.A. City Section, Division 3.
