“Featured Game of The Week” Cathedral “Phantoms” (3-0) vs Dorsey “Dons” (1-3)
Avid Los Angeles high school football fans couldn’t have asked for a better match-up under “Friday Night Lights” than for these two powerful local programs to clash in an interesting and most competitive non-conference match-up. Here’s a good back-story to the game site…downtown L.A. & the Chinatown district hosting So. Los Angeles in a rare opportunity to see private vs. public school programs do battle on the gridiron. This definitely deserves a merited “tip of the cap” to both Head Coaches, Kevin Pearson of Cathedral, and Paul Knox, of Dorsey. We’ll have to research the record books or the master schedules of these two storied institutions to see if they’ve ever played against each other in the City of Angels. Hopefully, it can turn into a “Home & Home” series for each school’s Athletic Directors to think about. Anyway the ball is put in flight at 7 pm. Forget about the current wins-losses of each team, get ready for the explosions that may rock the Civic Center, and look for a great Los Angeles high school football game under the “Friday Night Lights” at Cathedral Hgh school, the Home of the “Phantoms.” RC/ELASS
