“We Are L.A. Strong!”

(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: In a most noteworthy, generous, and mindful gesture, Rams All-Pro “Quarterback-QB” extraordinaire Matthew Stafford, along with his wife, Kathy, made their way to a very important gathering in this off-season rest period. On March 5th, both were “surprise” guests to the Pasadena High School “Bulldogs” varsity football team’s banquet dinner held in Pasadena.

During the festivity, lo and behold, a special presentation was then made by the Staffords when they presented Head Coach Ron Jones and the team with brand new uniforms for the upcoming 2025 season. But they didn’t stop there. Also included in the unexpected but very welcomed and appreciated donation by the couple were uniforms for the youth football teams that also compete in Pasadena and Altadena.

As part of the L.A. Strong Alliance & the team’s L.A. Together campaign, the Staffords recognize the need for its players to enact on their personal choices for making these humanitarian gestures to those families that were victimized by the Eaton Fire, and who still remain significantly in need of restoring their lives back to as near-normal as possible.
Here are a few more details of the Stafford’s gesture. Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, made a surprise appearance at Pasadena High’s football banquet to share that they will be providing them with new uniforms. A total of 60 varsity team uniforms will be provided to the Pasadena High School football team, and 150 uniforms will be provided to five (9/U=Under), 10/U, 11/U, 12/U, and 13/U) Pasadena “Panthers” youth football teams.

Following the unprecedented fires that broke out across Los Angeles earlier this year, both of these teams’ players were tragically among many who lost homes and parts of their schools. Both teams’ football equipment was affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
To close, Mr. Matthew Stafford continues to lead by his infectious example even when not in his own Rams uniform, and once again, all who have been profoundly and severely impacted by both of these tragic January 2025 wildfires immensely thank him and salute his family for their outstanding compassion and willingness to come to the aid of those who are most in need.
