LOS ANGELES (April 18, 2023) – The Los Angeles Sparks announced today seven new corporate partners ahead of the start of the 2023 WNBA season, including McDonald’s of Southern California, Casamigos Tequila, MeWe, PasciVite, Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, LA County Department of Public Health, and The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). Collectively, these partnerships represent a multimillion-dollar investment in the Sparks, and include robust in-arena elements, community engagement programming, as well as player driven original content.
These brands join current partners UCLA Health, EquiTrust Life Insurance, Anthem, AT&T, and LegalZoom, and underline the continuing growth of fandom and support behind women’s sports and the WNBA. The specific initiatives for each partnership will be rolled out in the coming months and throughout each LA Sparks home game.
“We are really excited about our new partnerships and proud of our affiliation with each of these brands,” said Sparks President Vanessa Shay. “These partners align with our core values of elevating women on and off the court, and creating social impact through community driven initiatives. We look forward to the launch of an exciting 2023 season with each of our partners.”
The LA Sparks kick off the season May 19 at Crypto.com Arena at 8 p.m. PT, airing on ESPN. The Home Opener features the Sparks taking on the Phoenix Mercury in Brittney Griner’s first WNBA game since her return home earlier this year.
The Sparks 2023 roster includes several new additions in two-time All-Star Dearica Hamby, All-Star Jasmine Thomas, WNBA Champion Azura Stevens, along with the recently re-signed Ogwumike sisters. On April 10, the Sparks drafted NCAA champion Zia Cooke with the 10th pick in the WNBA Draft.
