(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks continue with their novel idea of keeping their fan-base alerted to their rostered players who are overseas in the Association’s “off-season” and playing in various Women’s Professional Leagues in different parts of the world. Some of their games are being “Live” streamed. so please check that status on each player.

Sparks Notes:
After (13) total games (nine Hungarian league games and four EuroLeague games) with Sopron Basket, Brittney Sykes signed a deal to return to her former team, Spar Girona in Spain. Girona currently sits at the top of the standings in the Spanish League at 8-2, with their next action coming on Wednesday when they take on CBK Mersin in a EuroLeague matchup.

2022 overseas highlights: In an 84-78 victory over Townsville on Dec. 7, she notched an overseas best of 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting, grabbed five rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 32 minutes of play. On Nov. 20, Nelson-Ododa registered her first double-digit outing of her overseas season, scoring 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting. She grabbed four rebounds and had one block in the 103-68 victory over Canberra.

She added three assists, three steals and a block in 29 minutes of action. On November 20, registered 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 30 minutes of action against the Melbourne Boomers.

2022 Overseas Highlights: Walker finished her season with Morovis in the Puerto Rican League averaging 16.0 points, 8.6 re- bounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 35.9 minutes per game. Walker’s highest scoring performance to date came on November 11, when she scored 29 points, shooting 9-of-15 from the floor. She shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line and grabbed four rebounds.
