(East Los Angeles, CA) June 8, 2022 [From The Editor’s Desk]: The Sparks returned home from their brief two-game road trip last week, 5/31 and took on the Dallas Wings in a Commissioner’s Cup match-up.
Their “best” plays in this very exciting and high-scoring scheduled game 10 that came down to the wire, happened when 6-9, Center, Liz Cambage, the Supreme Rim Protectress, cleanly and emphatically, fly-swatted away two short to medium shot attempts in the key in the final two-minutes of play. This occurred as the visiting Wings were desperately trying to win, tie, or take it into overtime. Fan reactions resounded in great volume inside the Crypto.Com Arena as the Gentle Lady Giant of Women’s pro sports rose to the occasion to do what she became a Sparks player for. In plain and simple terms, to W-I-N games.
We hope you take a look at the Sparks game recap with their chosen highlights, and an even closer look at our photo gallery, shot by our longtime and veteran staff photographer, Erik Sarni.
