(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: ¡Saludos Cordiales!/Special Greetings!/¡Muchas Gracias!/Thank You! To All Veterans of our Armed Services for your service to our country. We come to this annual November National Holiday with a different approach in that we at East L.A. Sports Scene would like to comfortably stretch it into a weekend observance in your honor. We know there will be many special events and observances throughout our City and County of Los Angeles today, but this is our way of engaging, honoring, supporting, and recognizing those who have served in all Branches of the military.

And in a Special contributory salute, East L.A. Sports Scene also takes this time to acknowledge and thank our vast number of Chicano and Latino military “veteranos/veteranas” who still are, or have been, residents, of our respected communities of East L.A., Los Angeles, Southern California, as well as those that are found well-beyond the aforementioned locations. And, in a sports-connected way, as a veteran, if you have been, or are currently involved in youth sports as a coach, mentor, team organizer, a Team Mom or Dad, or an official, we also include another Muchas Gracias for the outstanding work you are doing with our children and perhaps even your own. We kindly and proudly Salute you for your time and efforts that are dedicated and devoted to sports.

At this time I would like to make a special offer, through my website, to those veterans who would like to register for a “Free” Raffle-Giveaway of promotional items such as baseball caps, t-shirts, and scarves which are official gear of 5 of our local Los Angeles professional teams—the Dodgers, the Rams, the Chargers, the Los Angeles Football Club (ACFC) and the Angel City Football Club (ACFC). I am hoping to reach veterans during the next several weeks who are avid fans of all sports, and to learn more about those who are followers of our productions.
