Roosevelt Seeks To Remain Undefeated As South Gate Arrives | LACS

(Boyle Heights-East L.A.)—[Pre-Game Preview Week #8] The Mighty Riders from Roosevelt put their unblemished Eastern League record of (3-0) up against their opponents from South Gate (2-1) in Week #8 of the season. This game will be “Live Streamed” once again on the NFHSNetwork.Com and its Affiliate, East L.A. Sports Scene Productions on Friday, October 18th. Kick-0ff is set for 7 pm.

The Roosevelt Rough Riders, with their overall season record of (5-2) are coming off a low-scoring road win at Bell this past week (8-0), after they rested up a bit on their 10/4 “Bye” week. Before that, they defeated Huntington Park on the road, (44-0) and then Legacy at home (47-0), giving them their current undefeated Eastern League status. They will certainly be thinking of defensive containment for a possible 4th consecutive shut-out of their Eastern League opponent.

On the other hand, the Rams of South Gate, (2-5) in their Overall record, added another win to their (2-1) League record, as they beat Huntington Park, (13-7) on the road last Friday. Prior to this game they had lost to Legacy (20-18) at home and defeated Bell at home, (26-7). And so the match-up is all set for another week of “Friday Night Lights!”
