(Boyle Heights, East L.A.)—The 2019 High School football season moves with into Week #2 with more “Live Streaming” by East L.A. Sports Scene, (a second year Affiliate of the NFHS Network), when the L.A. City Section’s Eastern League and Division I member, the Roosevelt Rough Riders, play host to the Northern League’s and Division II member school, the Wilson Mules. The game is being played this “Pre-Labor Day” holiday weekend on Thursday, 8/29 at Roosevelt. Kick-off is set for 7:00 pm. We kindly ask that our fans and followers like, then share this post with their social media platforms.
On this Thursday’s competitive game note, these teams met in last season’s Division II semi-final game at Wilson, which the Rough Riders won, (26-0).

Both schools come into this second Non-Conference battle with (0-1) records as the Riders traveled to Canoga Park and were defeated, while Wilson lost to Bell at home. Roosevelt is led into the contest by a sound corps of veteran senior athletes and its second-year Head Coach, Aldo Parral, who also earned high credits for taking the Rough Riders to the CIF/L.A. City Section’s Division II Title game last year where they were defeated by the Locke Saints. On the other hand, the Mules are now guided by their brand new Head Coach, Stanford Tucker.
For many of our community members who are loyal Roosevelt and Wilson alumni members, or just fans of high school football in general, and cannot make it to the game in person, you can still participate in supporting your team by watching the game on our “Live Stream.” This gives you, our fans, the chance to appreciate in “real-time,” the fine student-athlete talents on both teams.
