Please give a good read to this inspiring story of how the Rams’ teamed up with local artist and muralist, Brian Peterson, and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, (HACLA), to produce one of the most amazing and striking renditions of five beloved and highly admired Rams Legends. The mural can now be viewed inside of Nickerson Gardens.

In Recognition of Black History Month, the Los Angeles Rams Honored the Past and Celebrated the Future of Black Culture
On Saturday, 2/22, in continuation of the team’s series of cultural murals throughout Los Angeles, the Rams teamed up with artist Brian Peterson to create a physical embodiment of the past, present, and future of “Inspire Change.” The mural was designed at Nickerson Gardens where the team partnered with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) to install a 60-yard turf football field this past September.

The mural features Kenny Washington and Woody Strode as well as David “Deacon” Jones, Jackie Slater and James “Shack” Harris. To unveil the mural, the team hosted a backyard barbeque celebration. The event included a DJ, catered food, football activities, and a community gathering. Local community members witnessed and enjoyed the mural as they participated in football skills and drills, while connecting with one another during completion of the day’s project.
Peterson’s previous work includes the mural of the late Kobe and Gigi Bryant that is displayed on the adjacent interior wall at the Nickerson Gardens gymnasium and other notable works throughout Inglewood and Downtown Los Angeles.
