LOS ANGELES RAMS ANNOUNCE 2022 SCHEDULE

Super Bowl LVI Champs to Kick Off NFL Season On Thursday Night September 8 at SoFi Stadium

LOS ANGELES – The National Football League announced its official 2022 regular season schedule today and the Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams will host nine regular season games and will be featured in five prime-time games. Eight of their 17 regular season games will be against teams that made the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

The Rams opened the 2021 season with a win against the Chicago Bears at SoFi Stadium and will be determined to do the same against the Buffalo Bills for the NFL’s first prime-time matchup of the 2022 season. For nearly two decades, the NFL has opened the season with the defending Super Bowl Champions playing host. This game also will mark the third consecutive year the Rams will kick off the regular season at SoFi Stadium. The Rams won their previous two regular season home openers at SoFi Stadium.

Beyond the home opener, highlights of the Rams’ 2022 season at SoFi Stadium include a matchup against the reigning 2021 NFC East Champion Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, an NFC Championship rematch against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, a Thursday night prime-time showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14, and a Christmas Day matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 16.

ESPN will broadcast nationally the Rams Week 4 contest against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, along with ABC for a Week 15 game in Green Bay against the Packers. The Los Angeles Chargers and Rams will meet in Week 17 for Sunday Night Football on NBC.

After the BYE week in Week 7, the Rams will travel to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9 before hosting the Arizona Cardinals the following week at SoFi Stadium. The month of December will begin with the first of two meetings between the Rams and NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.

“Schedule release day is one of the most exciting times for NFL fans,” said Rams Head Coach Sean McVay.  “We love our schedule and can’t wait to kick the season off against the Bills at home in front of our fans.”

Prior to the regular season, the Rams will have a “road game” against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium for the first preseason contest, followed by a home game against the Houston Texans. Preseason will wrap up when the Rams travel to Cincinnati to battle against the Bengals.

KABC-TV will provide the Los Angeles market with telecasts of all Rams preseason games for the second consecutive season.

Official dates and times for Los Angeles’ preseason schedule will be announced at a later date.

To see the Rams play at home during the 2022 season as they strive to win back-to-back Super Bowls, fans should visit www.therams.com/tickets. Season tickets offer great savings for fans looking to attend multiple games plus members can access playoff tickets at a discounted rate. A limited number of single game tickets are available for purchase by the general public, including exclusive inventory for Season Ticket Members. In addition, groups looking for a luxury gameday experience can rent a suite for a single game, including a field cabana, by visiting www.RamsSuites.com.

BOLD denotes Rams Home games.

This season, “flexible scheduling” for Sunday night may be used twice between Weeks 5-10, and during Weeks 11-15 and Week 17. In weeks of the season eligible for “flexible scheduling,” the games listed for the Sunday night window are tentative and subject to change. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to a Sunday afternoon.

Flexible scheduling will NOT be applied to games airing on Thursday or Monday nights.

In Week 15, three of five designated matchups will be played on Saturday with the remainder to be played on Sunday. Specific dates and start times for the designated Week 15 matchups will be determined and announced at a later date during the season.

In Week 18, two games will be played on Saturday (4:30 PM ET and 8:15 PM ET) with the remainder to be played on Sunday afternoon (1:00 PM ET and 4:25 PM ET) and one matchup to be played on Sunday night (8:20 PM ET). Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.
