(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The Los Angeles Rams picked a great and very timely day on their season’s calendar to share a very special Moment in time with their special Christmas Day game program, filled with promotions and recognitions associated with their NFL/Inspire Change initiative.
Their game attending fan-base who attended the extraordinary presentations sprinkled throughout the day were recipients of the many Awards and Recognitions of community-based organizations and individuals who have solidly partnered with the team for all of 2022.
As just mentioned, this all took place on Christmas Day, 2022 in their Week #17 game against the Denver Broncos. We encourage you to view our short video that will introduce you to two pLAymaker recipients, Luis Vasquez, Co-Founder of Rainbow Labs and Sherri Francois, Chief Impact Officer, Sola I Can Foundation.
In honor of the Rams commitment to becoming the greatest community partner in Los Angeles and in memory of Kenny Washington (#13), the Rams launched the pLAymakers program to recognize 13 Angelenos each year for their efforts to fight injustice and pioneer with purpose in their communities as part of the NFL’s Inspire Change platform.

The Rams recognized their 13 pLAymakers on the field prior to the Christmas Day game’s “kickoff.” Each pLAymaker received a custom Rams jersey with a Kenny Washington patch during the recognition.
Continuing the legacy of groundbreakers like Kenny and Woody Strode, each pLAymaker is defined by core values those men exemplified, including perseverance in the face of adversity, dedication to their goals and the Los Angeles community, fortitude through breaking barriers and inspiring others around them to make a difference.
All 13 pLAymakers received a financial grant from the Rams to support their community work and the team highlighted each honoree on their website. To learn more about this year’s 13 pLAymakers, visit www.therams.com/community/playmakers.
