“We Are L.A. Strong!”

(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: During the recent month-long celebration of our nation’s celebration of Latino Heritage Month here in our City, County, and Southern California, in a very unique community outreach-themed event, the Rams once again were the greatly welcomed agents of change to oversee a great youth and cross-sporting event.
In hosting their second “Football Meets Football” event, the Rams invited our locally-based Boys and Girls Latino youth soccer players to meet and ultimately share their athletic talents with many youth flag football players who have been hosted by the Rams in their developmental programs. This year’s event was a series of three well-planned “Soccer/Fútbol” meets “American Football” youth clinics held over the celebratory month. All events lasted approximately 1.5 hours in length. For more details, please read the team’s press announcement that follows.

Team Hosted Clinics Throughout the Month Alongside Angel City FC, LAFC & LA Galaxy
In honor of Latino Heritage Month (LHM), the Los Angeles Rams hosted a series of community events to celebrate a very unique event entitled “Football Meets Football” with clinics provided in partnership with L.A.’s three professional soccer teams.
To connect with the city’s roots and uplift many of our youth who make up our population, the Rams teamed up with Angel City FC (ACFC), Los Angeles FC (LAFC), and the LA Galaxy to host “Football Meets Football” clinics for local fourth through eighth graders.
The events featured a character education segment where staff and representatives from all four of our professional teams provided words of encouragement and shared their journeys. The sessions were followed by a football and soccer “Skills and Drills” clinic. Select events featured appearances by Rams Legends and LA Galaxy, LAFC, and ACFC players.
First on the calendar was the Rams and the LA Galaxy Clinic, which took place on a Thursday, September 25th, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. PT at the Galaxy’s home stadium, the Dignity Health Sports Park, located in Carson, CA. The event featured an appearance from the Galaxy’s popular mascot, “Cozmo.”

The second event was the Rams and the Angel City Football Club (ACFC) Clinic, which featured all-female participants. It occurred on Wednesday, October 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PT and was held at the Caroline Coleman Stadium located in Inglewood, CA.

The final event in the series was the Rams and the L.A. Football Club (LAFC) Clinic, held on Tuesday, October 14th, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT at Woodland Hills Academy in Woodland Hills, CA. The session featured LAFC players: Cabral Carter, Tommy Mihalic, and Sebastian Nava.

Participants at each clinic received a co-branded T-shirt, and Rams Cheerleaders and mascot Rampage joined the events to add to the excitement.
