“We Are L.A. Strong!”
(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The Rams Community Outreach team continues to evolve into an ever-expanding educational role in partnering with our public schools, as evidenced in this first-time Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, (now educationally and fundamentally known as STEAM), event that recently took place at the Ralph Bunche Middle School located in Compton, CA.

On hand to meet and greet the students in person was the very popular running back, #23 Kyren Williams, who has often and willingly demonstrated a great propensity to interact with the Rams’ highly acclaimed community outreach component. As a group, comprising the traditional and highly welcomed presence of a designated Rams player, along with the acclaimed team mascot, Rampage, and several Rams Cheerleaders, they undoubtedly continue to positively impact and change the lives of our youngsters throughout our cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood, and other cities located within L.A. County and Southern California.

Los Angeles Rams & Hollywood Park Launch Free S.T.E.A.M. Education Program to Reach School Districts Across Los Angeles
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math Educational Program to Serve Youth in Greater Los Angeles Area
Program Presented by Cedars-Sinai and Supported by CaliforniaResources Corporation
Los Angeles, CA [Nov. 5, 2025] — The Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park are calling a new play with S.T.E.A.M., launching a FREE interactive program to educate Los Angeles youth on career opportunities within sports and entertainment. The team hosted its first STEAM Squad School Visit featuring running back KYREN WILLIAMS and STEAM-focused employees at the Ralph Bunche Middle School in Compton. The event also featured interactive S.T.E.A.M.-focused “on-field” activities for the students.
The visit, one of several presented by Cedars-Sinai, featured Rams and Hollywood Park S.T.E.A.M.-focused staff hosting interactive panels and field activities. Teachers were led through a session on how to get the most out of the program’s educational videos and lesson plans that can be accessed at therams.com/community/steam.

S.T.E.A.M. focuses on five different areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. In partnership with Cedars-Sinai and California Resources Corporation (CRC), the program, designed for 4th through 8th graders, features in-person and virtual experiences to spark students’ interest in pursuing a career in S.T.E.A.M.
Each element of S.T.E.A.M. plays an integral role in sports and entertainment, and the Rams and Hollywood Park have begun to highlight how it can open doors to diverse career paths.

“Through our Football Without the Footprint initiative in partnership with the Los Angeles Rams, California Resources Corporation is proud to support programs that make a lasting impact beyond the field,” said Francisco Leon, President and Chief Executive Officer, California Resources Corporation.

“We believe that access to quality S.T.E.A.M. education and job training is essential to building stronger communities and creating pathways to meaningful careers. Programs like this empower students to see themselves in the innovators, engineers, and leaders shaping the future of California’s energy and technology sectors. We believe that investing in education and job training today builds the skilled workforce our communities and industries need tomorrow, and we’re honored to partner with the Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.”

The videos also showcase optionality, that these careers are attainable through paths that don’t always include graduating from a four-year university, attending trade school or a junior college, earning certificates, or working right out of high school. All lessons and activities are Common Core, NGSS, and Career Technical Education (CTE) Standards-aligned, ensuring teachers can seamlessly integrate them into their instruction.
The Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park are committed to articulating job possibilities and their accessibility to local youth by bringing this free program to schools throughout the region. The organizations intend to extend the program to feature more content and experiences for grades K-12 in the years to come.
