(East Los Angeles, CA) November 2, 2021 [From The Editor’s Desk]: The NFL’s Los Angeles Rams have placed an Ofrenda (or) Offering Altar at the Main Plaza of Olvera Street/Plaza Olvera location for the annual commemorative and festive celebratíon of our culture’s, “El Día De Los Muertos/The Day of the Dead.” The Rams Ofrenda features images (submitted by Rams fans) of friends and family members who have passed. The Ofrenda will stay up through Tuesday, November 2nd and community members are invited to place their own photos at the Rams altar if they’d like.

This a direct appeal to more Ram fans who would like to place their own offerings at the memorial through today, November 2nd, “All Souls Day.” The project is coordinated in part with the team’s Spanish-language booster club, Vamos Rams, in sponsorship with the Los Angeles Rams.

We are including visuals from the photo gallery that were taken by the Rams community outreach team, over this past weekend. In addition to creating a site for all Rams fans and their families to show their eternal love and respect for their dearly beloved who have passed on, the Rams also coordinated a friendly Family 5 K event that took place on Saturday, October 30th. Joining in the day’s fun were several of the popular Rams Cheerleaders who helped the kids’ create all of the appropriate arts and crafts for this Special Day.

Leading the Rams entourage was their ever-popular mascot, Rampage. Whether he was strumming along with the local Mariachi Group or taking individual photos with Ram Fans of all ages, especially those kids that came with their parents/padres, hermanos/brothers, hermanas/sisters, tías/aunts, tíos/uncles, or abuelos/grandparents, the main point that was emphasized for the day, was to enjoy the fun and the moment of your day to commemorate your deceased family members and/or loved ones, during our traditional and most well-observed “El Día de Los Muertos” here in our Pueblo de Nuestra Señora, La Reina de Los Angeles.

Many, Many Thanks/Muchísimas Gracias! to the Los Angeles Rams Community Relations Department for all of the events that they have recognized within our vast Chicano, Mexicano, and Latino, communities from East Los Angeles and Well-Beyond. Hoping that you continue to expand your outreach horizons with each and every year of your presence in our City. !Qué Viva Los Rams!
