East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The annual Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders Finals Selection Day took place on a sunny, but windy Sunday morning and afternoon, April 16th at Cal Lutheran University, also the home of the Rams Training Facility. The final day of competition featured a total of (84) contestants vying for a coveted spot on the (35) member team.
It was a huge, but empassioned task for all of these co-ed hopefuls that have made this venture in life one of their most important goals—to become a part of the famous Los Angeles Rams Cheerleading squad.
The first round of the day’s competition started early in the day at 8:30 a.m. and lasted until 12:00 noon. At 1:00 p.m. the judges panel announced the much-awaited names of those final (84) chosen to advance to the Final Round for selection of the (35) who would then become a part of the 2023 team. This final chance to make the squad began at 1:30 pm and lasted through the afternoon, ending at 6:00 pm.

Over the years, the competition has been mainly female centered, but in the 2018 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints blazed a brand-new trail by adding male dancers to cheerleading rosters. Ever since, the Rams have continued to invite them to be a regular part of the Co-ed teams of professional cheerleaders for teams throughout the NFL.
Here’s our basic story with an outstanding photo gallery plus a great video on how the Rams, under the Directorship of the accomplished and well-regarded, Keely Fimbres, a proud graduate of Garfield High School, and her panel of accomplished judges, conducted their Selection Sunday final competition for a highly valued spot on the (35) member 2023 Rams Cheerleaders’ Team.
