Pacific Warriors Gear Up For New Season

Note From The Editor: Attention All Fans of Women’s Professional Tackle Football! Here we go again. The 2015 season has officially begun! At this time we roll-out our initial story on the Women’s Football Alliance’s (WFA) member team, the “Pacific Warriors” out of our local So. Cal community of Carson, CA.

Please browse through our Photo Gallery and of course, stay to watch video scrimmage action against the Ventura “Wolfpack” on this special East L.A. Sports Scene Media Day. We’ve also included interviews with Team Owner/General Manager, Cecil Burroughs, Head Coach, Bobby Hosea and several players,

During the interview sessions, look forward to meeting our own East L.A. native-daughter and proud Garfield High School grad (Class of 2007), Stephanie Lopez, and her teammate, Cecilia Martinez, from Gahr High School. They are just two of six Latina players on the Warriors’ team roster. Other players we interviewd were: Priscilla Gardner, Rebecca Munoa (Spanish Heritage), Monique Adams, and Jasmine McDonough.

In addition to seeing all of the above-mentioned players, the Pacific Warriors will proudly showcase outstanding Pro veterans such as: Mariah Turner, Demetrea Hardiman, Ashleigh Hayes, Kris Brannon, Laurisa Hollenshed, and VaNiesha Honani. If these names are already familiar to you, you are correct. All of these players were members of the California Quake last season. We encourage you to make your plans to come out and support this very competitive and exciting team for the 2015 season. Tickets are now on sale for all four home games.
