(East Los Angeles, CA)[From The Editor’s Desk]: It was the last day of the 2023 Rams Training Camp, August 8th, at UC Irvine and right after practice, the Rams Communications Staff honored our request to interview Steve Avila, the Los Angeles Rams 1st Draft pick in the 2nd Round, with the 5th choice, making him the 2023 Draft’s overall 36th player selected. This was the right time for our Exclusive and highly informative first meeting with their new offensive lineman (Left Guard), who will proudly be suiting up in the traditional Royal Blue and Sol colors with his surname and the number 73 sewn onto the back of his jersey.

We hope you enjoy our first of many interviews with Steve as his fans will soon see his potential to become either a probable, or an actual starter on the Rams offensive left side once he gets a couple of NFL seasons to show his keen skills at playing the demanding position of run (+) pass blocker. We look forward to covering Steve as much as possible during his Rookie NFL season as a Ram, and hopefully, well beyond his initial 2023 season with the team.
[Early Career Update At TheTime of This Post-Game 1 Writing on 9/10/23]: Of significance…….Rams Head Coach Sean McVay chose to start Steve Avila at Left Guard in the Rams Season Opening win over the Seattle Seahawks by the score of (30-13). QB Matt Stafford passed for 334 yards on (24) of (38) attempts. Great interior and offensive line blocking by Avila, in tandem with Alaric Jackson, Left Tackle, and Coleman Shelton, Center, gave Stafford the extra time he needed to find his targets during the game. Then again, due in large part to his entire offensive line play, Stafford finished Game 1 with a 91.3% rating, reminiscent of his 2021 season. We close with a huge Congrats to Steve Avila on a job well-done as a Rookie starter!!! !!Vámanos Rams y Vámanos Esteban!!
