(Montebello, CA)— The Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary (CSHM) “Lady Cardinals” advance to tonight’s huge second round playoff match-up against the Summit HS “Lady Skyhawks” from Fontana, CA. Many congrats to Head Coach Leonardo Dominguez and his very talented team, led by Senior Guadalupe Vazquez, as they all take the court in the CIF/Southern Section, 2-A Division, playing in Quadrant 1 of this post-season Championship Tournament.

Both teams have recorded 20 win seasons with the Home team, earning their 20th victory in last Thursday’s win over University HS of Irvine, CA. by the final score of (47-40). Their overall record now stands at (20-9), after completing their competitive Del Rey League schedule.

On the other  hand, Summit has posted a (20-6) overall record and went undefeated in their Sunkist League, posting a perfect (10-0) record. They managed to post their first round playoff win on Thursday, when they defeated Leuzinger by the tight final score of (74-72).

The Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary School theme for this Game Day is “Pack The House!” Come on out and support the team in person, but if you can’t, then you’ll still have the opportunity to cheer them on while watching the game on “Live Stream.”
