(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]; It’s a bitter-sweet newsday to hear that the youthful, energetic, and dynamic Midfielder, Brian Rodríguez, has been transferred to his new team in Mexico, Club América. He was truly a fan favorite with his style of play and his big, but always happy smile. Transferring is an option that each MLS team can exercise prior to this year’s upcoming Summer Window, Transfer Deadline Day.
But on the other side of the coin, in today’s world of Professional sports, and every team that’s competing always wants to have some type of an edge over its opponents, it is in Rodríguez’s best interests in moving forward to the next platform in his developing career. LIGA MX is one of the best fits that will propel him onto greater heights on the International level of play.
On Brian’s behalf, and from our media perspective of covering him while he was here, he remains truly one of the best young Designated Players, who certainly wore his Black & Gold LAFC uniform with vigor and pride each and every match he played in. Absolutely a great all-around team player! Good Luck! y ¡Buena Suerte Brian!
Please give a very good read to the team’s Communication Department’s press announcement that was recently issued to all media groups and entities who are covering this year’s LAFC, current leaders in the top spot in the Western Conference of the MLS.
