(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: For all LAFC fans, this is a recent major announcement regarding the appointment of Larry Berg as Major League Soccer’s next Commissioner. Mr. Berg has served as the Co-Managing Owner of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) since the club’s early development phases, helping build it into a flagship MLS franchise.

Berg will officially assume the position on January 1, 2027. but will join the League on September 1, 2026 to begin his formal transition period, working alongside current leadership.
