(East Los Angeles, CA) June 9, 2022 [From The Editor’s Desk]: To all of our LAFC followers, the “Black & Gold” have authorized five of their rostered players to join their National teams for competition associated with upcoming International matches. They are scheduled to return to the team for their match on Saturday, 6/18, when they travel to face the Seattle Sounders.
The break gives everyone across the MLS, pause to reflect on the current standings of the League, and Black & Gold fans are extremely happy to see their favorite team all alone on top of the Western Conference standings, with a (9W-3L-2D = 29 points) record. Trailing behind them are Dallas in 2nd, Real Salt Lake in 3rd, and Austin FC in 4th place. Here is the recent announcement made by the Club’s Communications Staff.

FIVE LAFC PLAYERS LEAVE FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTY
During this short break in the MLS schedule, Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will return to training at the Performance Center Located on the Campus of Cal State LA
During the FIFA international break, LAFC has five players that have been called up to represent their senior national teams: Kellyn Acosta (USA), Doneil Henry (Canada), Max Crépeau (Canada), José Cifuentes (Ecuador), and Diego Palacios (Ecuador).
Three LAFC players have been called up to join Mexico’s U-20 squad: Christian Torres, Tony Leone and Nathan Ordaz.
