(East Los Angeles, CA) April 13, 2021 [From The Editor’s Desk]: Attention To All LAFC fans, the waiting has ended with the Club’s final pre-season match-up for the second consecutive time against the New England Revolution. The match, played on Saturday, April 10th, ended in a (3-3) tie. Now, the real fun and seriousness begins this Saturday, April 17th on MLS’ “Opening Day” against the League’s brand new expansion team, Austin F.C. (Match Summary): (1st Half) Although the Revolution scored twice in the first (10:00) minutes, the Black & Gold steadied themselves and then managed to tie the match when Diego Rossi connected for his second goal in as many games. His score came at the 18th minute of action. That cut the Revs lead in half, making the score, (2-1), New England. That remained the score at the first-half’s break.

(2nd Half) LAFC then came to life and evened the match at minute (58:00) when Carlos Vela, who assisted on Rossi’s goal, had the favor returned, when he sped onto a Rossi assist and peppered a shot past the Revolution’s goalie, tying the score at (2-2).
New England went back in front three minutes later, but the Black & Gold were able to draw even once more in minute (84:00) when Eddie Segura triggered home a timely, and neatly placed angle shot from just eight yards out. That would end the scoring which secured a (3-3) match-ending draw. Credited for their pre-season ending goals were Rossi, Vela, and Segura in that order.
(Of Match Significance): Look for members of El Group 3252 to make their presence known to the opponent at the home opener on Saturday before a national TV audience and a limited “in-person” fan attendance. A pre-determined amount of game vouchers will be made available to season-ticket holders.
(Saturday’s Match Notes): Media-wise, it will be televised on National TV in both English on FOX Sports, and in Spanish on FOX Deportes. Kick-off is set for 3:01 pm (PDT).
