We now bring you to our coverage of the first Eastern League and the “East L.A. Classic” – Softball game as the Roosevelt “Lady Riders” hosted their archrival competitors, the Garfield “Lady Bulldogs.” Although the game was played last March 22nd, EastLASportsScene.Com was present with the highly seasoned, renowned, and multi-talented videographer/digital photographer, Erik Sarni, who produced this outstanding competition between our highly regarded schools from Boyle Heights and East L.A.
In this great posting, we ask you to take a good look at the highlight video and the all-important photo gallery to catch the action of that day and see the joy of victory and the agony of defeat captured in this special encounter.
The second match-up of the season between these two teams took place on May 2nd at La Loma Park in Monterey Park. That posting is currently in post-production and will be up on our site shortly. In brief summary, the Lady Riders emerged with a huge 10-9 win coming from behind in their last at-bat and thus secured a share of the Eastern League Championship for their season-long efforts. Now it’s time for the second-season to begin and let’s get out to support both of our teams that represent our great East L.A. community.
