Note From The Editor: March 4, 2015 became another milestone date in the legacy of the East L.A. College “Lady Huskies” Basketball program. On that date, they took care of their business and defeated the visiting “Lady Warriors” from the City of Torrance’s El Camino College by the score of 70-56.
Here is the entire “Play-By-Play” for all of our passionate and dedicated hoops fans and more importantly if you are an ELAC Alumniwho played sports for the college, then you will be very inspired by this outstanding group of young female student-athletes who have worked very hard all season long and now have their “Eyes on the Prize” by competing in the California Community College Athletic Association’s(CCCAA) State Basketball Tournament and the most highly coveted “Final Four” set for Cerritos Colllege on March 14th and 15th. We invite you to take a good look at “history-in-the-making” with our presentation of this special East L.A. College Women’s Basketball team.
But first things first. After defeating El Camino, they still needed to win one more game before punching their ticket to the Finals. So by virture of this huge win against El Camino, and by garnering the #2 seed in the State tournament, the Lady Huskies and Head Coach Bruce Turner earned the right to host another home game against the Irvine Valley College “Lasers”on Saturday, March 7th at the College’s “E-Arena.”
We also have that game for you as East L.A.
