(East Los Angeles, CA) December 26, 2021 [From The Editor’s Desk]: The L.A. Sparks’ very talented, #7 draft pick, and outgoing player, Jasmine Walker, along with Shiekh & Friends all contributed to a great Christmas Drive-Thru Toy Giveaway on 12/18 in the City of Ontario. Together, and while the top of the line toys and gifts lasted, they were also ambassadors of the meaningful Yuletide joy and happiness it brought to the faces of some 2,000 children, teen-aged youth, students, and travel team players from the area. Another community-based entity who was a contributing partner at the event were the Young Visionaries, Youth Leadership Academy.

Although the event took place in the City of Ontario, residents of several surrounding communities joined in the fun and excitement of seeing and meeting one of their favorite Sparks players up-close, Jasmine Walker. They also found some time to spend with the team’s well-known mascot, Sparky. Even the Grinch made a guest appearance. And, last but not the least to mention….. the best appearance of all was by Santa Claus himself.

To cover this Inland Empire event as a good-will, and positive community Christmas news story, our Los Angeles local twin TV stations, KCBS-Ch. 2/KCAL-Ch. 9, were present, and produced a segment with Jasmine for their weekend sports report.
In addition to the toys and gifts, all vehicles and their occupants were treated to some more wonderful Christmas and Holiday cheer by all of the many sponsors who committed to making this happen for those avid Sparks fans residing in the large, and basketball talented-rich, Inland Empire. Photo opportunities took place in the Winter Wonderland with Santa and other specially invited guests who posed with many of the youth in attendance.
In cooperation with the Sparks, we have put together a photo gallery to show all of our followers how the event went for those who attended and supported this highly successful 2021 Christmas Holiday outreach event. Please take some time to give our story a good read, a good view, and a good share with others in your social media networks. We greatly appreciate your support of our production efforts.
