(East Los Angeles, CA.)—The Garfield Bulldogs (4-0) continued to impress the poll makers, many So. Cal coaches, and local high school prep sports writers with their infectious and tenacious defensive play through the first four games of the season. This was greatly evidenced, as they shut out the visiting Crenshaw Cougars, (26-0) in their Week 4 – (9/4/18) non-conference contest. The Cougars proudly lay claim to last year’s CIF/State Championship in the 4-AA Division, and runner-ups to the L.A. City Section’s first-ever Open Division Champions, the Narbonne Gauchos.
