Note From The Editor: The 2010 East L.A. Classic, showcasing the seven decade long rivalry between the Garfield “Bulldogs” and the Roosevelt “Rough Riders,” can be seen in its entirety on East L.A. Sports Scene’s “High School Game of the Week.” Both schools were profiled on Nike’s “Five Days to Friday” weeklong countdown to the “Big Game” set for East Los Angeles Community College. As a result of Nike’s support and partnership, each school wore a specially made uniform for this game. We invite you to sit down with lots of friends, family, and dedicated alumni to watch the classic Battle for East L.A. as the rivalry once again takes center stage in our community. This is also East L.A. Sports Scene’s inaugural production of the “Classic” in High Definition (HD) format.
