East L.A.’s very own female Pro Boxer, Seniesa Estrada, will climb into the ring at the Belasco Theatre, located in downtown Los Angeles, 1050 So. Hill, L.A. 90015, on Friday, March 16th, as the first female to be a Main Event headliner of the Golden Boy Promotions, in the return of the L.A. Fight Club showcase fight card.
As one of the sport’s young rising female stars, she brings her undefeated record of (11-0) with 2 KOs into the contest vs. Mexico’s Sonia Osorio (10-5) with 1 KO. Osorio is 26 years of age. The bout will be covered widely by local and Mexican media outlets and will also be televised “Live” on EstrellaTV’s Boxeo Estelar.
The 26 year-old Estrada signed her contract with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions in January of this year. Competing in the Jr. Flyweight division for this fight, her short term goal is to battle for a World Championship at a later date this year, or at the latest, by early 2019. Estrada is currently ranked #1 in the US and #6 in the World. She is trained by the boxing veteran, Dean Campos, and is co-trained and managed by her father, Joe Estrada. She trains at the Carlos Morales Boxing Club located at 3078 W. Valley Blvd. in the city of Alhambra.
