(East Los Angeles, CA)—The second East L.A.-based and operated FREE specialist Football camp for Punters, Place-Kickers, and Long Snappers, is now underway and comes to our community thanks to Coach Vicente Peña. Through his visionary efforts and passion for these football specialty positions, the former L.A. Wilson Mules kicking specialist and standout, East L.A. College (ELAC) Placekicker/All-Conference performer, and Full Scholarship recipient and kicking specialist of Lane College, Tennessee, has exceeded his initial expectations for the Camp.
Called the “3-2-1 Specialist (Punter-Place Kicker-Long Snapper) Camp,” the debut week was held on Saturday, January 11th at Monrovia High School, and attracted some (40) highly eager and interested players, that represented a wide swath of the sport’s many levels, from High School, Community College, NAIA Colleges, NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, and even Semi-Professional.

Camp Staff: Director, Vicente Peña, former coaches representing several NCAA Division I & II Universities, current State Community Colleges, and Local High Schools will be present to provide Skills Improvement & Technique Training Sessions to ALL Special Teams campers. There will also be other seasoned volunteer veterans of the Kicking Game present to help Coach Peña with the Camp’s drills and hands-on coaching techniques to improve your game and take it to the next level.
One of Coach Peña’s favorite sayings is: “Remember, to keep in mind that there’s always going to be someone else working just as hard as you, or even harder.” The tried and true work ethic always prevails in the end. Make your football journey not only a special one, but a successful one as well. It’s always a good, and a right time, to get that extra work in.
