Note From The Editor:Get ready for the change and transition from football to basketball as we embark on producing our initial game of the 2013 Community College Basketball season. It’s the East L.A. College, “Lady Huskies” taking on the Rio Hondo “Lady RoadRunners” in this annual Christmas Holiday “Toys For Tots” benefit and non-conference game. ELAC Head Coach, Bruce Turner, now in his 8th year at the helm of the program, brings his team into the contest with an outstanding overall record of 8-1, fresh from winning the 30th Cypress College “Charger Classic” Tournament. In addition to their quick start, the “Lady Huskies” have earned themselves the #11 spot in the statewide rankings. The “Lady RoadRunners” come to the “E-Arena” with an overall record of 4-7 and would love to score an upset on their #6 Southern California ranked opponent. We invite you to take a look and enjoy our coverage of the ELAC “Lady Huskies” as they take on Rio Hondo Community College in our first 2013-2014 women’s college basketball game.
