The thirty-five youth who recently completed Coach Mike Aguilar’s FREE Youth Football Speed Camp and Cheer programs have a lot to be proud of, and a lot to show, for their weekly efforts during the past six months that the camp was held each and every Sunday, excluding holiday weekends. The camp site varied from the campus of Roosevelt High School to the City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks, specifically at the Evergreen Recreation Center. This year, Coach Aguilar partnered with the Boyle Heights Wolfpack and their affiliation with the highly recognized Pop Warner Football program that stretches from East L.A. to the Greater San Gabriel Valley. You’re invited to take a good look from our media persepective ranging from an outstanding photo gallery, to real-time video of campers doing drills, to our video interviews with Coach Aguilar, along with campers/players, Matthew Noriega, and Justin Quezada. They all had a lot to say about the program and its siginifcance, not only themselves, but on our community and its very sports-minded youth. If you’d like more information about sign-ups for the next Speed Camp, or for seasonal youth programs offered year-round at Obregon County Park, then please contact Coach Aguilar at (323) 396-4043. There are plenty of FREE to low-cost recreational activities at most local City and County Recreation Centers. Hope you and your kids can get out and participate together in good healthy programs. Take care and have a great summer! Rico Cabrera, Sr./Managing Editor, EastLASportsScene.Com
