(East Los Angeles, CA) [September 14, 2020]: Greetings/Saludos to All of our viewers and followers. Hope everyone is doing well! In an effort to bring you some of our past local high school sports coverage, we are glad to announce that we have created a 2019-20 Game Playlist which includes a full slate of our NFHS Network’s Games of the Week in both football and basketball. See our instructions at the end of this piece to learn how you can easily and affordably subscribe to the NFHSNetwork.Com and see our slate of games “On Demand.” Football Photos Courtesy: Unsplash.Com

At right about this time of the year, we are all expecting to watch our favorite, local high school teams and their student-athletes compete as we always have. But due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, that is not yet possible. As we have rolled out our new and expanded coverage of Pro sports to fill that vacuum, it’s time that we came up with a creative idea that could provide our schools and communities with an alternative to follow their particular teams once again. Keep in mind that most of the teams that we covered, made it into the Playoffs in 2019.

RE: FOOTBALL: If you are not yet a subscriber to the NFHSNetwork.Com, you will have the fresh opportunity of watching these full games that we covered with “Live Streaming” that includes our “Play-By-Play,” and in many games, the “Post-Game” interviews with players and coaches. And, in case you are wondering, yes, the full rendition of the 85th Annual “East L.A. Classic” will be available for your viewing as well as L.A. City Section/LAUSD Eastern, and Northern League games that featured Roosevelt, South GateLegacyLincoln, Franklin, Torres, Eagle Rock, and Wilson. Also available to you as subscribers, but not produced by East L.A. Sports Scene, are the LACS Division 1, 2 & 3 Title games. The D-2 & D-3 Championships featured Franklin & Marquez respectively

RE: BASKETBALL: New subscribers will be able to relive the great indoors Boys Basketball East L.A. Classic”, known to all as the fabled rivalry game between the Roosevelt Rough Riders & the Garfield Bulldogs. In addition, you can follow the Rough Riders on their way to the CIF/L.A. City Section’s Boys D-3 Championship plus their exciting run to the State Regional Finals. On the Girls side, if you were not aware of Head Coach Leonardo Dominguez’Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary Basketball team, there are several games we covered, a Del Rey League match-up vs. Bishop Amat and a CIF/SS 2nd Round thrilling “Overtime” Playoff game vs. Summit/Fontana) that featured our 2019-2020 East L.A. Sports Scene Player of the Year,” Guadalupe Vasquez-Herrera.

If you would like to make a very affordable investment in the NFHS Network.Com and our “Playlist,” please the steps that we have outlined for you below in the link that you should choose to watch. Once you have become a member, either with a monthly, or a yearly sign-up, the choice is yours, you will be able to view at your discretion, not only our entire playlist of these games over the NFHS Network’s On Demand feature, but any other high school in the country, as well as any sport that the Network offers.

Shortly, we will begin our Zoom interviews with Coaches, Players, and Athletic Directors from the CIF/L.A. City Section/LAUSD high schools that are located within our coverage area. It will give everyone a great insight of each school’s sports programs that will be played in January, instead of the Fall period. Although the wait has been very long, and sometimes unbearable, and because the safety and health of our student-athletes, coaches, game officials, and administrators is of the utmost importance and is a first priority, we must await the final decision from our State Government’s Educational officials to start down our path to the return of high school sports to our communities. Note From The Editor:  The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles’  local high schools, located within our geographical area, are also welcomed to request our coverage. They can do so by E-mailing me at their convenience.
