(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: Attention To All of our Dodger fans!! The Big Blue makes a much-welcomed return home to start a brief 3-game series versus the Colorado Rockies, from Friday, 5/31, through Sunday, 6/2. They will then depart for a 6-game road trip against the Pittsburgh Pirates and then the New York Yankees. They’ll return on Tuesday, June 11th to play two “back-to-back” inter-league three-game series, first against the Texas Rangers, to be followed by the Kansas City Royals.
Once again, a lot is going on at the Stadium with this Friday night’s game to be followed by the increasingly popular Drone Show. Then on Saturday, it’s the Tyler Glasnow Bobblehead Night, and then on Sunday, it’s the fun-loving post-game feature of the Kids Run The Bases. It’s also Lou Gehrig Day.
Per the ALS Network, they would like to remind all fans that the focus of the official Lou Gehrig Day is to honor the legacy of Lou Gehrig and all those lost to the disease that bears his name; to raise ALS awareness and funding, and to celebrate the ALS community.
On Lou Gehrig Day, each home Club will host ceremonies and display “4-ALS” logos in ballparks, commemorating Gehrig’s uniform number “4.” Additionally, all players, managers, and coaches will wear a special “Lou Gehrig Day” patch on uniforms.
