(East Los Angeles, CA) It’s that time of the year once again when the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) invites their fans and the general public to lace up their running shoes, whether they be brand new, to medium used, or even older in use, to join them in celebrating a great community health event.
A reminder that 3,000 youngsters representing our city will the beneficiaries of a FREE entry. Spread the word as much as you can and then get ready to spend this Saturday, in and very near to Dodger Stadium, as the Sunset Edition of this annual and healthful event kicks into gear. LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION RUN PRESENTED BY UCLA HEALTH RETURNS TO DODGER STADIUM WITH SPECIAL “SUNSET EDITION”
3,000 Youth from Across the City Will Race Through Iconic Dodger Stadium with No Entry Fees to Participate
Los Angeles, CA –The 9th annual Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Run, presented by UCLA Health, is returning to Dodger Stadium with a special “sunset edition.” The Sunset Run, held on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, will feature a 5K, 10K, and Kids Fun Run within the stadium property. In addition, this year’s run will also feature a cooldown lap, a Health + Wellness Expo, and special appearances from Dodger Alumni – events beginning at 4:00 p.m. In keeping with LADF’s emphasis on youth health and wellness, 3,000 youth will participate in this year’s run at no cost.

In-person participants and spectators at Dodger Stadium will enjoy incredible sunset views of Downtown L.A.’s iconic skyline and Centerfield Plaza. Runners have several courses to choose from this year featuring live music and DJs throughout, including, 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run, with a cool down lap on the Dodger Stadium warning track.
UCLA Health returns as presenting sponsor and will be participating in both the race and Health + Wellness Expo. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and Levelwear have come on board as this year’s Weekend Sponsors. Golden Road Brewing will once again provide a Beer Garden for runners 21+.
This year, WSS joins as the Youth-Runner sponsor, which will allow 3,000 youth to participate in the event at no cost. This includes registrations for youth from LADF’s Dodgers Dreamteam program and Grantees: Girls on the Run, just keep living Foundation, Students Run LA, and Woodcraft Rangers.

Dodger Alumni will be on-hand to cheer and congratulate runners as they cross the finish line. All registered runners will receive a Dodgers ‘22 tech shirt, finisher’s medal, race bib, access to the Health + Wellness Expo, and a limited-edition Mookie Betts Run Bobblehead.
Registered runners are encouraged to pick up race packets on Friday, August 12th between 1:00pm and 7:00pm in the Centerfield Plaza, where the Health + Wellness Expo will also be open. Concessions stands located in the Centerfield Plaza will also be open on Friday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. with food for purchase. All runners who show their race bib will also get 20% off select merchandise at the Dodger Team Store during race weekend.
