(Los Angeles, CA)—The Combate Américas: Reinas (MMA) official weigh-ins took place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel’s Gold Ballroom in downtown Los Angeles yesterday with two of its main directors, spokesmen, and personalities, CEO Campbell McClaren, and Combate’s President, Alberto “El Patron” Del Rio, on hand to openly and very enthusiastically welcome all guests, fighters, devout MMA fans, sponsors, and media organizations who were in attendance. Our coverage provides you with a great snapshot of the majority of the weigh-ins. (See our photo gallery just below).
Lots of buzz and excitement filled the room as CEO McClaren emphatically accentuated the importance and significance of this totally new promotional strategy, that of prioritizing at least two of the six Reinas/Queens bouts as the card’s headliner events. A total of ten contests have been scheduled, eight will be fought by Combate Américas professionals. The first two bouts of the evening will feature amateur ranked Combate Reinas.

There will be plenty of conventional, as well as mixed media at the event, making it rather easy to catch the fights on “Live Stream” via dazn.com or broadcast on a time-delayed basis by the Univision Network and the Univision Deportes Network. But, as a first resort, there are still good seats available through on-line purchasing at CombateAméricas.Com/LA
A capacity crowd is expected to register a rare “sell-out” at USC’s state-of-the-art sports complex, the Galen Center. The first bout is scheduled for 7 pm, with the public allowed through the doors at 6 pm. A special “Red Carpet” reception will greet all card participants and invited celebrities on arrival before the event’s official start.
