(Galen Center, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA)—From their catchy fight-card theme, Combate Américas: Reinas, (The Queens’ Combat) and from the very first bout to the last inside “La Jaula/Cage,” it was Much-More-Action (MMA). Some 7,000 fans were generously treated to their money’s worth as they viewed in favorable approval of Combate América’s multi-talented stable of male and female MMA fighters, (with the emphasis on female), coming from all destinations of the globe, many representing the USA and others hailing from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chile, and the Republic of Korea. (Note From The Editor): This posting contains our “Red Carpet” interviews with seven celebrities who attended the event. It also contains an official Combate Americas photo gallery below.
Adding to the ten fight-card fan appeal were the number of celebrities who turned out to support the MMA fighters, performing in a Los Angeles venue of this historic magnitude for the first time. Among those that we interviewed were: Kate Del Castillo, world-renown Mexican Actress and a Combate Américas major Investor; Tito Ortiz, Former MMA World Champion, now signed to a contract with Combate Américas; Gustavo Lopez, current Combate Américas Bantamweight Champion; Ben Hernandez Bray, Director of the new and potential blockbuster film, “El Chicano,” debuting on Thursday, 5/3, here in the movie capital of he world, Hollywood; Armida y La Flaka, On-air personalities for their own show on Radio La Suavecita, 92.7 FM (M-F/2-6 pm); Jay Mendoza; Instagram Star/Comedian; and Shawn Pereira, International Music Recording Artist/Model.

Creating a big stir in the crowd at the midway mark of the card, the owner of Golden Boy Boxing & MMA Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, together with his good friend, Extra TV Anchor and Actor, Mario Lopez, made their appearances to witness their fair share of the action.
Of Significance…Combate Américas wide appeal to the loyal and supportive MMA fan base here in Los Angeles and Southern California can best be translated into a huge positive testimony and vote of high confidence to this attraction. Consider the fact that there were multiple major sporting events that occurred simultaneously on this night such as the Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Playoff game #5 at Staples Center, the Dodgers vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates MLB game at Dodger Stadium, and the Pro Boxing Title Fight card at the Inglewood Forum.
