Attention All Boyle Heights and East L.A. Bicyclists!! The City of Angels spreads her mighty wings Eastward for the second scheduled Ciclavia event of 2014. It’s titled “The Heart of L.A.” and it’s coming our way this Sunday, October 5th, from 9 am – 4pm. The entire route covers 10 miles starting near Echo Park and finishes at the East L.A. Civic Center. Start preparing for a fun-filled, day-long, and high quality, bonding time with your entire family. Do invite your neighbors to come along as well. It’s going to be a memorable time in our city to be out on East L.A.’s historic Cesar Chavez Avenue and other well-known streets, with no care in the world for cars, buses, motorcycles, trains, or RVs.“It’s About time!!”/”Ya Es Hora!” as the sayings go. This year, the Ciclavia planners took the time to consult with our two guests featured on our In-Studio program, Erick Huerta and Sahra Sulaiman. Both write for Streets Blog LA, and both are strong Bicycle Riding Community Advocates. Watch them explain what the ride will be all about and what you should do to prepare for it. It’s very valuable information you can bring to the Ride. For more information, please go to ciclavia.org andla.streetsblog.org. We hope you enjoy a Great Day of Bike Riding Fun in our very own backyard AND Beyond!
