(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The NFL’s 2022 Season ‘s Week #1 continues on Sunday and it will be a Charger fan’s delight as the Silver & Black Las Vegas Raiders come to SoFi Stadium ready to tangle “for keeps” with the Bolts. No doubt the Chargers will be looking to avenge their final game loss to the Raiders in the 2021-22 season.
The whole country will focus their eyes on this match-up, as who can forget last year’s final regular season game in Week 18 when these two teams played for a highly coveted “playoff” spot. The game’s commentators explained to viewers. as the drama kept unfolding due to the Chargers successful touchdown drives late in the game, that a tied game would have sent both teams onward.

In that game, a final possession by the Raiders to either run out the clock and settle for a tie, or put up a score may have been decided after the Chargers called a time-out late on this drive. Perhaps, that call changed the decision by the Raiders coaching staff to run the clock down to (00:01) second left and then play for the win. The record book will show a successful field goal for the Raiders win, which factored them into completing the teams qualifying for the post-season playoffs. For Chargers fans, the painful and disappointing loss saw the Raiders move on to Cincinnati and their beloved team ending their season and coming home.
This Sunday’s game will certainly be contentious as well as a sight to see, both in-person and on TV, as the anticipated “sold-out” SoFi Stadium crowd will have its Chargers and Raiders supporters appearing in their colorful, wild, and newly imagined regalia, or costume-wear, that’s becoming even more popular than in those recent and past years of going to an NFL game. This is our American game that offers something for everyone and obviously it has risen to an ever higher level of passion mixed with strong fan emotions. How high it goes, remains to be seen!
