(East Los Angeles, CA)[From The Editor’s Desk]: The Los Angeles Chargers’ traditional, annual fundraiser, presented by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, accomplished its mission with another great turnout to its recent 4th Annual Invitational Golf Tourney at the Rolling Hills Country Club.
Current players such as Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, Derwin James, Jr., Tre McKitty, Cameron Dicker and Joshua Palmer, just to name a few, attended and competed as did former Chargers’ Legends and Hall of Famers, Dan Fouts, LaDainain Tomlinson, and Charlie Joiner. The much-awaited and fun-filled event brought together players from various eras of the franchise’s proud history and resulted in a great time for all attendees, contributors, and donors to the highly popular event.

As we can easily imagine, many conversations and very memorable moments were most likely shared among the players, from both past and present times, especially when they learn of the great community outreach endeavors and successes of the Chargers Impact Fund that continue to be offered by the team to many of the underserved neighborhoods in Los Angeles and the entire Southland.
Here is a brief recap of the event as described by the Chargers Marketing Communications & Alumni Affairs Unit. Pro Football Hall of Famers Dan Fouts, LaDainian Tomlinson and Charlie Joiner, Chargers Head Coach Brandon Staley, General Manager Tom Telesco, Wide Receiver Keenan Allen, and Linebacker Eric Kendricks headlined the participants benefiting the Chargers Impact Fund.
To date, the Chargers Impact Fund has awarded more than $12 million in direct community assistance and continues to honor Alex and Faye Spanos’ legacy by bringing fans, volunteers, players and donors together to create supportive environments in which the next generation can thrive.
