Boyle Heights Classic Car Showcase A Success

By Rico Cabrera, Sr. Aug 8, 2022

(East Los Angeles, CA) August 8, 2022  [From The Editor’s Desk]: We humbly apologize for the lateness of this community inspired story, and hope you will like our production and then share it with your families, friends, and other specially selected networks. Check out the pair of photo galleries just below to see how the event looked from an up close view of the models on review and from on-the-street positions.

It was a beautiful 2022 Summer day in the vibrant and energetic community of Boyle Heights, as the sun showered its warm rays of energy downward and fell on a brand new event known as “The First Boyle Heights Annual Classic Car Show.”  The event was the idea of Juan Romero, the longtime Boyle Heights resident, Creator and Founder of the Annual Boyle Heights 5K Run &Walk, a community advocate and a civic volunteer for over a 20 year span of time.

Romero partnered up on this occasion with another well-known community member by the name of Tony Gomez, the proud owner of SoCal Burgers, who organized and coordinated the entries of the “Classic Car Show” veterans. There were some (50) Classic, motorcycle, and special car owners in total who turned out for this inaugural event.

Congrats to both Juan and Tony for producing a successful and fantastic fun-filled community event for our families, from small, to medium, to large. It was also great to see some police officers from LAPD’s Hollenbeck Police Division who joined in the festivities.

Now it’s time to take a quick look back in review on the First Annual Boyle Heights Classic Car Showcase. The crowd voiced their opinion on the event by totally proclaiming it a success and nearly all stated that it should be even better next year.

To find out more details about next year’s event in general and the showcasing of yours, or a friend’s “Classic” car, please continue to visit our website and we’ll have it posted up on our community calendar for you when it becomes a timely and upcoming event. ¡Muchas Gracias!
