Now, we must move onward and upward in the playoff hunt and of course, the MLS Western Conference’s all-important and super-critical standings. Let’s have an in-depth look at them right now.
We pretty much know the Top Tier or Top 5. They are the following teams: 1) KC Sporting; 2) Seattle Sounders; 3) Colorado Rapids; 4) L.A. Galaxy; and 5) Portland Timbers. The battle for the next tier puts these teams in the hunt for a coveted playoff berth. Those are: 6) Real Salt Lake; 7) **LAFC; 8) Minnesota United; and 9) Vancouver White Caps.
With their third win a row on Wednesday, LAFC appears to be on track to reach the playoffs in this last (10) match stretch of the schedule. Question is, what spot in the standings will they finish in? Mr. Momentum has never been so consistent and friendly to the Black & Gold. Can we all imagine if El Capitán, Carlos Vela, can find a way to make his return to the team in the timeliest of moments.
