(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The recent March 8th recognition of International Women’s Day celebration when the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) partnered with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles for their 2nd Annual Girls Empowerment Day, also proved to be very timely for the annual observation of the March Women’s History Month, here in Los Angeles and Southern California. The well-planned and organized event featured a half-day of sports and learning events for middle school students with a clear and inclusive emphasis on reaching out to young female students.
