(East Los Angeles, CA) [From The Editor’s Desk]: The newest and the youngest member of the Angel City Football Club, (ACFC), forward Casey Phair, received a warm welcome to our City of the Angels, and our Central City’s well-known and famous Koreatown sector on Thursday, 1/18. She took part in a welcoming and introducing event in coordination with the Koreatown Run Club. Please take a few extra moments and view the photo gallery of the event.
Phair’s signing should add another sizeable crowd element to come out and watch her compete as a Professional player in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). We encourage those of our viewers who are ACFC fans, supporters, and followers to like and share this posting with your friends, family members, or youth soccer players. If you know any soccer coaches at any level, please also share this with them. We thank you in advance if you can help spread all of this good news.
ANGEL CITY FOOTBALL CLUB FORWARD CASEY PHAIR WELCOME EVENT WITH KOREATOWN RUN CLUB
LOS ANGELES (January 19, 2024) – Newly signed Angel City Football Club (ACFC) forward Casey Phair received a warm welcome last night from the Koreatown Run Club at Love Hour in Koreatown. Phair is not only the youngest player to sign with Angel City in the club’s history but also the youngest player ever to play in a Women’s World Cup match following her appearances with the Korean Women’s National Team this past summer.
“Everything about the city, I really like,” Phair said to Angelcity.com having been to Koreatown for the first time. “It’s so big—it took 15 minutes just to get across! Obviously, I come from a Korean family, so to have that so close is so nice.”
“And then also to play in front of the Korean fans here,” she adds. “I’ve never been to a game, but everyone told me [Angel City] fans are amazing. I think that’s what I’m most excited for.”
