(East Los Angeles, CA/Boyle Heights)[From The Editor’s Desk]: We bring all of our followers and alumni from Roosevelt Rough Rider Nation, the updated announcement of the Roosevelt Alumni Baseball game that will take place this Saturday, March 16th at East L.A. College. Spring is now here as is Daylight Savings Time, and baseball comes right along with that. So while “March Madness” is set to happen, it also signifies that Major League Baseball (MLB) is coming up next with the Dodgers set to open at home against the St. Louis Cardinals at Dodger Stadium on March 28th.

Keeping this prevalent sport of our baseball-loving community in mind, courtesy of Rough Rider Miguel Torres, Class of ’91, we do have some time to alert those Roosevelt alumni who may be interested in attending this 9th Annual Alumni game. If you are not aware of the Alumni’s website, just know this highly supportive group of Rough Riders baseball alumni is inviting the Boyle Heights community and beyond, to come out and support this game.
Admission to the game is FREE and it is scheduled to be played on Saturday, March 16th, once again at East L.A. College. Parking is also FREE, adjacent to the baseball field. The first pitch will be thrown at 1:00 pm. A reminder that great food and merchandise will be available for purchase. For more event details call Miguel Torres at the posted number on the flyer as shown above.
